"I have had the immense privilege of working with Adrian Clarke since 2016. From our first meeting, I realised that here is a man with a marrow-deep commitment to realising a fairer society through widening participation in education. His work has been transformative for some of the most economically disadvantaged young people in Britain, and I am excited to see what he will achieve in the future!"
"Deloitte has a commitment to investing our time and resources in the talent of the future. Aligned to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, we want to reduce inequality by helping people to overcome barriers to education and employment. We are focused on providing opportunity for ambitious individuals and disadvantaged groups to grow and thrive in whatever career they choose. We’re helping the talent of tomorrow to raise their aspirations.
One of the ways we have been able to support this is to reach out to a wider group of schools, as part of the recognition that there is a large pool of talent that has historically been overlooked, particularly with students from BAME backgrounds or who have come from areas of lower social mobility.
Having been invited to take part in the Career’s Fair at Ernest Bevin College, we got the perfect example of why initiatives like these have been justified! The students were brimming with an infectious energy and asked really intelligent questions to get an understanding of what a career at Deloitte could look like for them.
Overall it was a superbly organised event that inspired both the students and us as presenters!"
"I am writing to thank you for your help in applying to the K+ programme last year. Today I received an email saying that I am eligible for the variable reduced offer to study at King's in September 2021, as I had a 100% attendance to all year 12 events and also received a grade 2:1 in my academic project which was completed in August.
I wouldn't have been able to do this without your help. I would like to add that if you require any assistance in promoting the programme to the current year 12s, in terms of help with their application or just any additional information about the programme then I am more than willing to help them as this programme has given me so much and I would like other Bevin students to have the same opportunity. Thank you again."
